System State Backup slows to a crawl Backup exec 15 and 16

Anyone come across system state backups that slow to a crawl ? 1MB/sec 

Reboots of the 2008 R2 server don't always fix it. none of the vss writers are malfunctioning according to the list. Windows Backup of the system state freezes my mailserver .

I seem to remember System State backups being an issue with Windows Server 2008 R2 in previous versions of BE. Have you tried using AOFO? And making sure that the BE services are excluded from any AV scans? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. 

I checked my job and realized that AOFO is actually enabled. Also I have ran the backup with the antivirus disabled in the past and it doesnt alleviate the issue.
