System State selection causes Backup Exec to lock

On one particular Windows 2000 Advanced Server selecting the system state in source selections has started causing Backup Exec to stop responding. Any other folders on that system can still be selected.

However backups on this system now fail to run. Well, they seem to hit a permanent stall. With never ending "DeviceManager: going to sleep for 900000 msecs" being issued. I've had jobs attempt to run for up to 10 hours with no end in sight. Also canceling the jobs does nothing and you have to stop all the services for it actually cancel.

All my other Windows 2000 Advanced Servers will backup without problem.

Confused.

My vitals:
VXA-2 1x10 Packetloader - latest firmware - set to Exabyte 210 emulation.
Backup Exec 9.0.4454
Windows 2003 Server
