Taking backup of Servers on remote location

Hi,

We are using Backup exec 10.0.5520 in Windows 2000 Server systems.
My problem is we have 2 servers which are part of our domain forest(in a different trusted domain than our backup exec media server) but located in a different State( about 300 miles apart). We are using a VPN connection with T1 lines for the network with firewalls installed on both ends with tripple DES encryption. I already tried to take the backup to diskfolder of those 2 servers(114 Gb and 68Gb) from our current media server and pushing the remote agents to them. But the process is very slow, about 7Mb/min and during verification stage the backup fails. Our network system is running fine.

Is there any suggestions for taking the backup in this scenario?

T1 is only rated at 1.5Mb/sec, so you are trying to push a bowling ball through a garden hose.

Not much you can do except to

1) Increase the bandwidth
2) Install BackupExec at the remote site and do local backups there.

(You might get a little improvement by not using AutoNegotiate, but hard setting all NICs and switch ports, but you still will be facing a bandwidth problem.)Message was edited by:
