I received the following alerts and would like to know if it is drive or media related:

----- TapeAlert Events -----

Warning - The tape drive has requested a retentin operation.
Robotic Library: SPECTRA 1
Drive: SONY 1
Slot: 2

Warning - The tape drive is having problems writing data. No data has been lost, but there has been a reduction in the capacity of the tape.
Robotic Library: SPECTRA 1
Drive: SONY 1
Slot: 2

Error reported:
Physical end of tape encountered.

Also my tape compression is less than 1:1

Since it is requesting a retension operation, my guess is the tape spool is running lose. Put the tape in the drive and then select the Retension Media option in BE and see if that fixes the problem.
