Tape Drive store Backup Up to 1.5 TB

Support, We have an issue with veritas Backup exe. We are using Tape Drive for taking backup. Once the backup reached 1.5TB its asking for new tap even we already inserted 3TB. We are using Backup Exe 16.0 Please advise what is the issue

What generation of LTO media are you using?

I would guess that you are using LTO5 media, which has a native capacity of 1.5 TB.  You can only get more thant the native capacity of a tape cartridge if your data is compressible.  The 3.0 TB compressed capacity is a marketing claim, that is usually difficult to achieve in the real world.
