Using Backup Exec 2010 R2.  Looking for a recommendation for a SCSI LTO3 or better tape drive?  Suggestions?  Experiences?  Thank you.

Most of the recent tape drives will be supported with BE 2010 R2.

But you have to decide on which drive to go for, depends upon the size of the data you have to backup, the backup window you will be having to do so,the interface card you have in your media server and the budget you have etc... If you have HBA card already installed in media server you can go for LTO4/LTO5 FC drives, which results in completing the backups sooner. You can also consider media capacity if you are going for a standalone drive. If your data is more than a single LTO 3 media capacity, you have to insert another tape into the drive manually. In that case going for LTO4/5 will be a good idea.

Regards....
