Tape stuck in the robotic system

Hello Everyone,

These are the spécification of our systems:

- Windows 2008R2

- Backup Exec 2014

- Dell PowerVault TL4000

The problem I have, the last weekend the annual backup was scheduled and stopped without finishing the job.

I Lanched the backup manually, everything went through, and the annual backup job used different tapes.

Now I have one tape stucked in the drive from the the first non-completed backup,

I tried to ejected using  backup exec and Dell PowerVault without any luck, the other thing if I run the inventory on backup exec it does not complete the inventory job.

I attached the image

Please anyone have an idea how to resolve this issue, let me know.

Thank you

If you have power cycled the TL4000 and cannot eject the tape using the TL4000 web interface, then you will need to try using the ITDT diagnostics program from Dell or work with Dell tech support.

if it's really stucked , you should remove the drive from library and manually eject the tape probably by hand. please first read your Dell PowerVault user manual or service guide and make sure library is powered off.
