Hi
Since migrating from 2012 R2 to 2014 i receive a daily email telling me that the credentials on some jobs has not been tested.
So i go in a test. 99% of the time i get success. However i have noticed that a number of areas that the account selection is greyed out, in particular SQL and Shadow copy.
This is where some of my jobs appear to fail, on the SQL credentials, but i am unable to change them to test another account.
How cant i get this ungreyed and change the SQL account for test.
thanks
Olly

Hi,
If your backups are successful all the time, ignore the warning you are getting.
Alternatively, refer to the link below and make sure the BESA has the required rights:

Thanks!

This is by design. Have a look @ my reply here - https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/be-2014-logon-account-not-editable

Thanks.
This was working fine prior to the 2014 upgrade. We are using a BExec service account in AD to backup the servers.
It is a domain admin and in backup operators

Hi Olly,
Again, if you can backup and restore successfully, then you can probably just ignore that messgae that crops up.
Thanks!

Hi.
I still get these constant messages.
We have multiple backup servers accross many sites. I noticed that the SQL pqrt was always on these servers the backupexec database, which is installed as part of the backupexec installation.
How can i test these or should i simply delete them from the test credentials window?
thanks

OK Finally found out how to tuen this off. This article (althuogh factually slightly incorrect) explain how to turn this off or change the frequency
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH223477
In face you actually need to go to the Backup Exec button - Configuration and Settings - Backup Exec Settings. you will then see the figure 1 displayed in the article.
Hope this helps any one else with this little "feature"
