Please confirm that the drive hardware is powered on and properly cabled. This error shown after i restart the server of symantec back-up.

Is this message from Windows or BE? If it is from BE, go to the Devices tab and check which device is offline. For the offline device, check that it is functioning correctly in Windows and then right-click on the device in the Devices tab and make it online.

BE = Backup Exec.
If the message is from Windows, then trouble-shoot the problem in Windows.

I have not the same but very similar issue. Hardware is getting offline during long backup operation.

Could explain, what did you do to solve this issue ?
I was trying to find a solution but I dont know exactly if could be on BE or on the OS.
