Since 3 days I receive the following message after Backup.

Error loading machine specific Intelligent Disaster Recovery information. Error: 1392
The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

Nothing has changed last week in Backup
I checked this Forum, and tried everything related to this error message 1392 but nothing helped me out.

I hope someone can help me with this one.

Hi,

This is in response to the problem you have been facing

The error message 1392 : The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.
This could be because we might have created the dr file path and the alternate path to point to the same location.

create a folder on another machine and give the alternate path as the path to the other machine so that the file doesnot have same location for dr and alternate paths.

The solution give able sure will help in issue like Error loading machine specific Intelligent Disaster Recovery Information. and this error appears on in the backup job log file.

Incase this does not solve the issue I sure would suggest you install service pack 1 and 2 for backup Exec
