The media has unrecognized media header

I have HP LTO 5 3000 and HP LTO 5 3TB Cartridge

I am not able to use the cartidge 

Media description : (Unrecognized Media)

When i try to long erase the media this error message pop up:The media has unrecognized media header

How can i fix it ? 

Media gone unrecognized after i cancelled the first backup job in the mid of copy.It has no data.

I don't have robotic tape library.

I could not find vendor diagnostics

I have added BE diagnostic log.

A regular/quick erase is probably sufficient to resolve this, without taking the 3 or more hours for a long erase job.  Unless there truly is an issue with the tape drive itself, in which case VJware has pointed you to the tape drive diagnostics.

Make sure that you do not have two versions of this tape in your Backup Exec database.  BE is ok with the duplicate, but it will confuse you.  Look in the "all tape media" view and if you see two with the same label/barcode, then retire and delete one of them.

If the BE erase job still fails, then the vendor diagnostic tool may have an option to erase or overwrite the tape, which should put the cartridge back into a usable situation.
