Hi need to integrate BE 10d with the TSM function.

Do I need the tape library option if the fisical library connected to TSM have more than 1 drive ?

Have I correctly understud that BE use the TSM server disk storage as a backup target (althought BE see this space as a "virtual" library vith one tape drive) ?

Some general advice about BE and TSM integration?

Hello,

BE 10d is already integrated with the TSM function.

The Backup Exec for Windows Servers Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) enables you to combine the speed and localized control of Backup Exec with the TSM policy-based system of centralized storage management.

The TSM feature enables the TSM server�s storage resources to appear as a tape robotic library in a list of target devices on the Backup Exec server. Backup Exec administrators can then direct the output of any Backup Exec job to the TSM server by selecting the name of the TSM robotic library as the destination when submitting the job.
