Trial period Backup Exec Oracle/Linux components expired

Hi there,

We are using Backup Exec 2010 R13, and want to do a trial with backing up a Linux machine and Oracle database.

It turns out that, on the media server, the Linux an Oracle components have been previously been installed so the trial period has expired long time ago.

Is there a way to reset the trial period, by means of a trial key for instance.

Hi, You can contact Symantec's licensing department and ask for an extension. Not sure how many days it will last for though. Thanks!

The trail period starts when you run the 1st backup if youhave installed the option and have not taken any backup , the evalution period would still be there .

If you have taken a backup already then you need to Contact symantec license dept as suggested by Craig to get a license extender.
