Trouble with Tandberg TDX-Device and Backup Exec 2012

Hi,

I just had my "first concatt" with BE2012 in a customer installation and already run into an issue:

In this environment, a Tandberg RDX-Drive is used (don't know the exact Type, but is uses 160 GB Cartridges). However, it is not possible to assign the Cartridges to Media sets, the option is just greyed out (see screenshot). What has gone wrong here ?

Especially the State "not suited" sounds a bit strange to me.

I also tried to delete them manually and in BE (via "Delete Media now" ), but that did not help. I can't even remove the Media from the "All Media" List.

Basically, the Tandberg RDX is mentioned in the HCL so it should work.
The OS on the System is Server 2008 R2.

Can someone please provide me with a hint ?

Regards,

inti

Hi,

Is there any specific reason why you want to associate the media to a media set separately? Generally if you run a job on the media it will be atuomatically assigned to the media set specified in the job.

Also which media set does the media currently belong to? its not clear from the snapshot.

Thanks

It is moved to "Backup Exec- and Windows NT-Backup-Media", which still seems to be the default for newly discovered media.
