Trouble with nightly backup verify

Brian_Sadler
Not applicable
I've gotten the following error message and was wondering if anyone can think of a way to correct the problem so that the files are getting backed up properly.

WARNING: "E:\\PDOXUSRS.NET" is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify.

The directory is usually different but the end file is always the same. It's like it's missing this file on the backup and we want to make sure we're not missing anyting on the backup.

The server it is installed on is a Dell NAS server running Windows 2000 Advanced Server and backing up to a Dell LTO2 tape drive.

This is an intermittant error. The best I can tell, I think its because people may be using the files but even then, if Microsoft NT backup can backup the file with someone in it, why isn't the veritas?

Any ideas?

Hi,

Generally, these error message are generated when Backup Exec attempts to
back up a file that is in use by another application or user.
This error message can be resolved by using the Advanced Open
File Option (AOFO) of Backup Exec. Another alternative is to close the
respective file during backup or select "Never" option for open files
backup.
