USB Disk to tape Backup is getting failed @ Backup exec 12.5

 Disk to Tape Copy 2-Full-Weekly -- The job failed with the following error: The directory is invalid.


Daily incremental backup will goto USB disk G:\

On every friday night all the incremental backups will get backed up to  Tape

...you might want to refer to the TN below regarding backing up B2Ds...

Essentially you should be changing your backup strategy to add in a stage to duplicate to tape, and delete the backup job of the B2D to tape...

Hi,

 

Are you backing up the B2D to tape, or duplicating it which is what you should be doing?

Have you made sure that there is no B2D job running at the same time you are streaming off to tape?

Hi Craig ,

Its just a backup copy moving to Tape from USB disk [ Daily incremental backups will be moved to USB disk ] & the same will get moved to Tape backup on firdays ] . Please proivide a solution to fix the issue

For BE 12.5, you need to create a policy with a backup template and a duplicate template.  See this document
