I am having issues with backup exec 2012. it fails to complete the backup and gives the following erorr,
V-79-57344-33932 - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again. If the server or resource no longer exists, remove it from the selection list. Edit the selection list properties, click the View Selection Details tab, and then remove the resource.
I checked the services. mssql is running on the server, I checked the passwords, they are fine. Job log gives this error,
Unable to attach to SAPB.domain.com\MSSQLSERVER.
Please help in resolving this issue.

Thank you all for your support and answers.
The solution which I had is that the MSSQLSERVER service was not running on the server. for some odd reason, the service was shut down. I restarted the services manually and then everything is working fine now.
