Hi Calou,

If you are sure there are no jobs linked to this you need to log a call with Symantec so that they can manually remove the entry from the BEDB. Check below:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH126877

Thanks!

If you dont have any Job associated to the device it should allow you to delete it . There is also an open issue http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH183028 but its related to deduplication .

If it is found that there are NO existing jobs or templates using this device then the solution requires manual manipulation of the Backup Exec Database, please contact Symantec Technical Support in order to resolve this issue.

Are you sure there are no jobs remaining on that device? There are oftten "storage operation" jobs stuck for that device.

If you go to Storage> Select the problematic device> click Details (top right)

Now on the left colum select "Jobs" (top left) (See screenshot)

Delete any storage operation jobs or other jobs found there.

Now try delete the device.
