In BE 12.5 on Win Svr 2003 my backup jobs are completing with exceptions.. 12 files skipped. Most are related to Symantec Endpoint Protection: Unable to open the item C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.5337.500.105\Bin\xxxxxxxxxx.dat - skipped there's also Unable to open the item C:\WINDOWS\system32\dhcp\tmp.edb - skipped Should I be worried about these?

Add AV exclusions to the BE processes. Enable AOFO as well and set it to use the Microsoft VSS provider.

...just exclude them or the folder from the backup process if you don't need them. I'd simply reinstall SEP.
