Unable to upgrade from BUE11d build 7170 to BUE12 - SQL instance not compatible

Running Windows Server 2003 R2

Enterprise x64 Edition

Service Pack 2

SQL Server Express 2005 installed as per BUE11d build 7170 installation.

Once Environment Check completed, unable to progress. Backup Exec 12 for Windows Servers installation returns:

"The current version of Backup Exec is using an instance of SQL that is not compatible with Backup Exec 12.

Please upgrade this version of SQL to a minimum of SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a or later.

If the computer is running Windows Server 2008, you must upgrade to SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2".

In accordance with this error message and the minimum requirements mentioned on Symantec website (http://www.symantec.com/business/products/sysreq.jsp?pcid=2244&pvid=57_1) SQL Server 2005 Express was upgraded to Service Pack 2, but the above error message still appears.

Backup Exec 12 installation process passes the Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Express check.

Any ideas on what's going wrong?

Did you rename the server on which we are installing BEWS 12 since the last SQL installation?.If yes,please rename it back to the original name and run the installation.

If you have not renamed the server,send us the installation logs.
