Unable to view ESXi host in Backup exec 2014

Hi All,

I have installed Fresh Backup exec 2014 on a Windows server 2008 R2 Std 64bit, Which is also a Vcenter.

My VM infrasture is have a 2 ESXi host which are running 5.5U1 and Vcenter is also 5.5.

Problem is when i try to add Vcenter server am only able to view datacenter (which is created in Vcenter)  but no cluster or any VM's are detected.

If i try to add direct ESXi am able to view the VM's.

Any idea on this problem.

As VMware has a concept of folder inheritance against security, make sure the permissions are defined at vCenter level but then not blocked at any container levels in the structure.

Do you have the VMware agent installed on the media server?

Thanks!

Do ensure the BESA has appropriate permissions/rights per this KB - http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH129645

Thanks for the help.

I had provided permissions in indivisual ESXi Host but not to the Vcenter root level.

Chnaged the permissions and was able to view the VM's.
