Unmatched bracket Errors

Durga_Prasad

Hai,

We are having Oracle servers which are hosted on Redhat linux 5.4 which is not a compatible version for Symantec Backup Exec 2014. Because of the uncompatible versions, I can see error messages in /var/log/messages in my Linux servers. Please check the below error messages and let me know if there is any fix for this to resolve.

modprobe: WARNING: Unmatched bracket in `r<85><99>®ÄÛó^L&A]z<98>·

modprobe: WARNING: Unmatched bracket in %7J^s<89> ¸Ñë^F"?]|

modprobe: WARNING: Unmatched bracket in 1Kf<82><9f>½Üü^M^_2F[q<88>

modprobe: WARNING: Unmatched bracket in <81><9b>¶Òï^M,L]o<82><96>«ÁØ

Thanks,

Durga Prasad

If an OS / version isn't compatible, it isn't reviewed for a fix.

From a support perspective, would recommend to use a compatible version of RHEL.

And other wise, have a look @ the below mentioned KB from RHEL - https://access.redhat.com/solutions/889863

Thanks for your response.

Is there any chance of getting fix from Symantec to support with RHEL 5.4?

A "fix" would be possible only if the environ is supported/compatible, else not.

Out of curiousity, does it work with a BE 2012 RALUS agent ?

Can you update me by email if there is any fix for the compatibility of Backup Exec 2014 and RHEL 5.4?

We are seeing this same issue with RHEL 5.5. Is anyone else seeing this with RHEL 5.5?
