Upgrade BE 2010 R2 to 2010 R3

Bonjour tout le monde,

Je voudrais avoir quelques informations.

J'ai BE installé en version 2010 R2 et je voudrais le faire passer en version 2010 R3.

Tout d'abord, je voudrais savoir si lors de la mise à jour, je vais perdre tous les travaux de sauvegarde, les politiques, les listes de sélections, autrement dit toute ma configuration de BE?

Si Oui comment puis-je les récupérer pour pouvoir les re-importer dans la nouvelle version.

I wonder if during the update, I will lose all backup jobs, policies, selection lists, that is my configuration of BE?

If Yes. how can I get them back in order to import them into the new version?

Download R3 from www.backupexec.com

Before running the inplace upgrade stop SQL service and copy DATA & CATALOGS folder.

Both the folders are located at X:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec.

Run the installation of R3 all the policies, jobs and setting will be migrated from R2 to R3

As the upgrade will be an ipnplace one, you will not be losing any configuration.

Just for safety, take a backup of DATA and CATALOGS folders from the BE installation directory.
