Upgrade and migrate from BE 12.5 to BE 2010 R2

We currently have a BE 12.5 media server running on Win 2K3 that's backing up servers and is also using DLO to backup our clients. We want to migrate to a new server running Win 2K8 R2.

What's the procedure that we should go through to do this? Best information I can find is http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH67768 and http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH47908. However, the first article specifically states that it does not apply to changing the OS, and neither one references BE2010.

What's the process that I should be going through? Don't mind so much if I have to lose my server catalogs, recreating the backup jobs, etc. However, DLO needs to remain intact as we can't afford to have all of our clients backing up all of their data fresh again.

Also I would recommend before doing this you can call up symantec support or log a web case using the following link so someone from symantec can help you during the process of DLO upgrade as going to different O/S versions is normaly not easy either

To use Windows Server 2008 R2 as a media server, you would need to upgrade to BE 2010 R2, not BE 2010.  You would also need new licence keys for BE 2010 R2.  If you have a current maintenance contract, you can upgrade for free.
