Using Archive Bit but doesn't seem to work

Good Morning-

I am on Backup Exec 10D.  I do a Full Backup using Archive Bit every Friday.  On Monday - Thursday, we do Incremental using Archive Bit.

In looking at our recent backups, I see that on Monday, July 5th, the size of the backup was about the same as it is on any other workday.  However, we were closed on July 5th so, it should have been much smaller.

We have 4 different servers that we back up and it looks like this problem is just on the SQL server backups.

Any ideas?

Check if there is any application which modifies the file and perhaps the archive bit is reset ...

If you are backing up Sql databses using the SQL agent make sure you select  the correct backup type in the MS SQL tab ...

Agree with Rahul - SQL Backups do not reference the Archive Bit
