Using Backup Exec to deploy Data Protection in Azure for Cloud-Based Workloads

Josedelatorrem

Dear all, according to the document in the link below, it is supported using Backup Exec to protect compute instances in Azure.

Could you please confirm the compability for BE v21 or v22 and provide any document about setup and deployment for Azure and AWS data protection of Cloud-Based Workloads?

https://www.veritas.com/content/dam/www/en_us/documents/data-sheet/DS_backup_exec_for_microsoft_azur...

Best regards,

Jose de la Torre.

You can backup M365 workloads( Exchange Online, One Drive) by deploying BE on prem or cloud ( via marketplace or manual install on Cloud VM/EC2)
If BE is installed on cloud VM, then agent  based backups can be taken of those VMs. Refer Compatibility Guide
(Microsoft Azure Stack HCI - 20H2 and 21H2, Microsoft Azure VMware Solutions (AVS)2.0, VMware Cloud on AWS.
Azure Files, Amazon FSx for Windows File Server are supported as well ( apart from  the agent based backups in cloud infrastructure).
