V-225-53 Error - Failed to install SQL Express BKUPEXEC instance with error 5.

In the Installation Log, I am getting a V-225-53 error message - failed to install SQL Express BKUPEXEC instance with error 5.
The 2nd error message is: Installation failed with error 1603.
I'm installing Backup Exec 12.5 on a file server with Windows Server 2003 R2.
The error comes when trying to install SQL Express 2005 BKUPEXEC instance.
Just before the V-225-53 error message, I can see a window's message, Extraction Failed and then Access is Denied.

Hello,

1  : Uninstall any traces of SQL Express through Add/Remove Program.If you are not able to remove it through Add/Remove, download "Installer Cleanup Utility" and remove SQL Express. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

2  : Open the Backup Exec CD and go to the Install\SQLExpress folder and Install SQL Express seperately with default configuration

3  : Start installing Backup Exec by clicking on "browser.exe", it will prompt you for SQL Instance, select existing instance and point towards already installed SQL and continue installation
