Hi all,

An unknown error occurred on device "Tape drive 0001".
V-79-57344-34035 - The block size being used is incorrect.

An error occer while doing the catalog on the tape drive, not done the catalog. please suggest the the solution.

Hi,

Not sure if your are still facing the issue but in the future if you face the same issue then please refer to the following: 
Possible cause of error: 
1. The block size recorded in the media header has become inconsistent or damaged.
2. Unsupported block size configured for the device.
3. Hardware problems with the controller like poor cabling, incorrect termination or transfer rate settings.

Solution: 
1. Check if the drivers are installed.
2. Check the block size settings.
3. Troubleshoot any hardware issues.
