Hi,
A partner just told me that my VM backups cannot be improved because there is a VADP limit. I'm not tell sure if this is an answer to just escape from the problem, but I think the thorighput can be limited by both the read and write throughput and the deduplication available memory, and some other parameters that can be adjusted, but not because the VADP has a limit itself.
Could somebody tell me if I'm right or, otherwise, there is an actual limit on VADP.
thanks!
S.R.

I have not heard of such a throughput limit for the VADP and I doubt there is one. Why would VMware wants to limit the throughput? To settle the argument, ask the partner to backup his statement with some some sort of documentation from VMware.
