Last week I took another attempt with theVMWare agent.
Environment:
- BE 2010 R2, ESX 4.0
- Only one server in selection list
- Weekly Full Backups B2D (DedupeStore) -> Tape
- Daily Differential B2D (DedupeStore)
- All Jobs are handled by policies
Full backups works like a charm. But even if start a differential/incremental job afterwards, it creates the differential snapshot on ESX, it backups the correct amount of data, but the job never ends. If I try to cancel the job, job status is always cancel-pending. In consequence of that, I have to restart the services or reboot the server.
I tried to backup different servers, with different os (2003, 2008, 2008R2). The problem is always the same.
What else can I check?

Hello
Have you configured the incremental/differentials jobs using a policy?

All jobs are created by policies!
In the meantime I made a test to run the same job, without dedupe to a "normal" b2d folder. Same result, job is never ending.
