One of SBS servers 2003 sp2,fully patched running backup exec 10.1 decided to throw up this error in the application logs.
sqllib error OLEDB Error encounted calling IDBInitialize::Initialize 0x80040e4d.SQLSTATE:4200,native error:18456
Error state:1, Severity:14
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider fro SQL server
Error message:Login failed for user "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
The consequence of this is that backups fail and the server crashes..After a day on the Internet reading about the same problem and no solution,hopefully someone out there might have resolved this issue.I've done the VSS update 833167 from microsoft but still failing.
