Veritas Backup Exec 21 delivers day-one support for vSphere 7.0 & vSAN 7.0

Last week, VMware announced the general availability (GA) of vSphere 7.0 and vSAN 7.0. Congratulations to everyone at VMware for these massive releases. These major new releases from VMware brings a massive improvement in the work experience of vSphere administrators. I am checking whether BackupExec support backing-up Kubernetes (k8s) resources (application, persistent volume, namespace, etc.), and that's why google search brought me to this article. Funny that you mention VMware's latest feature is utilizing k8s API, but there is no mention of how Backup Exec latest version integrate/support a k8s platform.

I checked the datasheet and whitepapers and other documents about Backup Exec 21,

But I could not find any mention of k8s support either.

On the other hand, I found NetBackup's documents mentioned k8s support. Just not found in Backup Exec's documents.

 

So, I would like to know, does Backup Exec support backing-up k8s resources? Or I should choose NetBackup?
