Are your endpoints protected? Given Veritas’ insight to IT practices, I can comfortably say, “Probably not.”

On average, more than 40% of a company’s data resides outside of the data center and is not adequately protected.  Much of this data is sitting at remote locations, and many times it is not on the company’s network.

With the latest release of Desktop and Laptop Option – DLO – Veritas has improved the architecture to optimize backing up data over the internet.  DLO 9.3 is the perfect solution for customers with data residing outside of a data center and adopting backing up over the internet.DLO Config.png

Highlights of this DLO release include:

  • Enhanced Edge Server support - DLO now provides the ability to configure multiple Edge Servers ensuring an optimized backup flow for the geographically distributed remote office users connected over the internet.
  • Backup synchronization over internet – DLO can synchronize backed up files across multiple endpoints belonging to the same user – now extended for endpoints connected over the internet.
  • Enhanced backup summary - DLO now features an enhanced summary in the History or Restore tabs with more details on the endpoint backup status.

If you’re seeking automated file protection of that 40% for your organization, plus the rest of your endpoint’s data no matter where they reside, then it’s time for Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option 9.3.
