Running Backup Exec 10d Version 10.1 Rev. 5629 on a server. When I try to run VERITAS updates I get hung up at "Please wait while VERITAS Software Update searches for available updates... ". I have let it sit for hours with no progress. Can anyone provide assistance? Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have your IE configured properly

You can try reinstalling the VERITAS Update from the Backup Exec installation files as follows:
1. Browse to \WINNT\INSTALL\VxSDM
2. Run setup.exe
3. Reboot the system

Installing SP4 worked. Upon further inspection, I do not have SP1,2, or 3 installed. Would it be wise to uninstall SP4, go back and install 1,2, and 3, then reinstall 4?
