Verwalteter Medienserver geht Offline

Hallo zusammen

MfG

We have found the error.

The VPN Connection between the two locations was create withe a applications firewall.

The firewall has drop some packets but not all.  The ports was open. The firewall has meen, that the data from the BE server is a Skyp connection. :)

We have create a exception on the firewalls between the BE server.

No problem anymore

It Seems some services are getting crashed here..

can u do one thing.. when the the Managed Media server shows off line... logon the server and check all the backupexec services, if any one has stopped. if yes then view the windows event logs for error.

post all ur observations here and errors if u find somthing.

Hi,

Your WAN connection needs to be pretty quick to run duplicate jobs like you're doing. If you're able to optimize it for the period of time that you run your duplicate jobs, consider looking into that.

You should also make sure that any antivirus is not running scans of the dedupe folders and the BE services. read the TN on this:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH129606

To prevent an AV from scanning the BE services, you can put in exclusions for the BE service *.exe files.

Also, since you're running a CASO, you might want to log at a distributed mode for logs and job history etc. If the CASO holds the MMS's data centrally, it MIGHT play a role with the job dying. It will definitely play a role in backups not running if the CASO dies.

Thanks!
