View Backup Job Data if Backup Server crashed

Hi All,

I am using Backup Exec 15 in my environment. The backup task will store the backup file on my external NAS storage.

1. If my backup sever crashed, is it possible to retrieve those backup file data from a newly installed backup server?

You will have to follow below steps to recover data.

1) Create a new B2D folder, map it to the NAS storage

2) Run Inventory

3) Run Catalog job

4) Restore data

yes - you add the storage into the new server and then run Inventory and Catalog jobs of the storage
