Viewing Old Tapes Without BE

I have some really old tapes and an old server that has the tape drive installed on. I can't move the drive to any of my other services. These old tapes have data on them from BE9. The server has no version on BE on it. Is there anyway I can use something like NT Backup or something like this to catalog and restore data from the tapes?

I found that you could put the tape in and catalog it with NT Backup. It appears you can restore data as well.
