I am running BE V9.1 SQL Module. The last 2 nights I have received the following messages during the backup. The backup starts and they occur. 'An error occurred on a query to database xxxxxxxxx (data item number). A SQL Server virtual device access denied error occurred. Please click the following link to get more informataion: http://eventlookup.veritas.com/eventlookup/eventlookup.jhtml The item servername\drivename\xxxxxxxxx in use - skip' The backup stops at this point. Why won't the backup continue and bypass the open file? When I clicked on the link it told me that the page was not available anymore. How am I to get more info if its not available? Any help with this situation will be helpful. Thank you.

Hi
Please go through this article
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/270154.htm
which provides steps about how to resolve this exact issue.
This should be helpful to fix the problem.
Further any issues reply

This document (270157) doesn't state if we're suppose to force the use of Named Pipes on the backup server, or on the SQL server. Do you know which it is? Thanks.
