What do i need to backup 2008 server running Hyper-v and upto 3 virtual servers

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what i need to backup a 2008 R2 Host server running Hyper-V with upto 3 virtual machines.

I have tried to get the answer by calling symantec but no joy unless i pay for support (all i want to know is what i need to buy).

Do i just need to buy Backup exec 2010 with the hyper v agent and install this on the Host server? Or do i have to purchase a Hyper v agent for each virtual machine?

Hers the scenario.

2008 R2 server - Host Server
SBS 2008 - Virtual Machine
2008 R2 server running SQL - virtual machine
win2k server - virtual machine

From the info i have managed to gather do i just install backup exec with the hyper v agent on the host server? is this enough to backup the host and all 3 virtual machines?

If this is the case can you now do granular restores from the backups of the virtual machines or do you need to restore the entire virtual machine to restore just a single file?

Any help or info greatly appreciated.

In your case, you will need to buy following:

1. Backup Exec Server (1 nos) : Essential
2. Agent for Hyper-V (1 Nos) : It will take the backup of UNLIMITED VMs Hosted on the server which you are considering as Hyper-V HOST

So, don't bother, how many VMs you are backing up from that host.
