What does 'Enable Direct Access' mean?

In Backup Exec

When setting the verify option (on a schedule) for a backup job, I see a checkbox "Enable Direct Access". I cant seem to find any explanation of what this option does.

select that checkbox and press F1. It will open up help page.

Lets the remote Backup Exec agent perform the verify operation. If you do not select this option, the Backup Exec server performs the verify operation.
Note:
This option is only available if you choose to run the verify operation as a separate scheduled job after the backup is completed.
