What does vrify mean in the current operation of backup:

I can see verify in the current operation TAB ..

what does it mean, as time for backup is going a bit more as normal routine time for wekly bakup.

After finishing writing backup data to tape, backup exec will make sure that the data written to the tape is readable by performing verify operation.

I would strongly recommend you to read the admin guide. All these things are properly documented in that with enough explanation for a starter to understand about backup exec and its functionality.
