Hi,
i woud like to know what Hardware and OS Settings do i need to get a good backup performance between my new Backup Machine and an old Hyper-V Host if i use File Backup of Systemstate (Disk C...).
I see a backup speeds between 300-900MB/min für about 30GB on Disk C?
Backup Server is a Dell R740 with 16 Core CPU and local SSD for OS. Backup2Disk Storage are 8TB RAID1.
Remote Hyper-V is a Dell R730 with 20 Core CPU and local SSD (8x 480GB RAID5).
Network is 10GB with Melanox and CISCO Switch.
Backup of a Hyper-V VM is fast, about 12GB/min.
File Backup from D:\Temp (5 ISO Images) is fast 10GB/min
Defender Exclusion are set for all BE Processes and Path, even with Defender off it´s slow.
Any advice what to change in NIC Settings or OS / Agent Settings?
thanks
Jürgen

yes, it´s running on local disk. I can get large files with about 12GB/min. with BE 20.6
NIC are set to Auto, Switch is set to 10GBE with SFP+.
The local Disk has only (SATA III), file copy over Network with explorer has 500-1200MB/s.
Maybe the RAID Cache kicks in (about 2GB Cache).
I changed the BIOS Settings to Maximum Power for my small Dell Server (R740 with XEON Silver CPU).
It´s as slow as my 8 year old Dell T110 Server (except for the 8TB SATA Drivers, these are faster than the old 2GB Disks).
