What to move for a migration from SBS 2003 to SBS 2008?

Hi,  I have SBS 2003 running Backup Exec 2010.  I am about to migrate my SBS to new hardware running SBS 2008.  I "assume" that for Backup Exec, I would just reinstall it clean on the new SBS server when I transition over, but do I need to move anything from the old SBS install as a part of this?  I would like to setup the new SBS machine similar to the old one and would like to keep my setup (tapes and partitions), but figure I can recreate them if needed.  Any advice?

Thanks,

Mike

says that you cannot migrate to a different OS, but if you are migrating to a clean build that you could blow away if needed, you could always try wink

You can definitely copy your old  \Catalogs folder to the new server while the BackupExec services  are stopped.  When the services are restarted, you should be able to see all of your old back data

You will of course still need to inventory a tape before you can restore from it.
