I have a client with Small Business Server 2008, Exchange 2007, and Backup Exec 12.5. The server will sometimes run and backup correctly
for many days, then lock up during backup operations. The only recovery is a power off and then power back on. When BE services are disabled
the server seems to run fine. I am using an LTO tape drive with an Adaptec SCSI adapter. Diagnostics on the drive using a spare tape return no
errors, also the Event viewer returns no SCSI errors. BE 12.5 is running SP3. I have seem many forums on USB drives causing lockup but not
while using an external LTO drive. BTW, the BE drivers are used for the tape drive.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
