XP Pro 64-bit compatible with BE10.1d

Is XP Pro 64-bit compatible with BE10.1d?

Can I run BE10.1 d  Windows Media Server on XP Pro 64bit?

The reason I ask is whne I run the pre-install environment test it reports no problems installing on the XP 64 bit but I have read that it is not supported

You cannot put a v10d media server on any 64-bit OS. 

You can however backup a 64-bit OS from a 32-bit media server via the Remote Agent

Thanks for that - that is what I thought, but I'm surprised that the pre-install environment test doesn't say "not supported on 64-bit" or something akin to this, it reports that every thing should work.

You could always test it out, bearing in mind that it is totally UNsupported by Symantec

(this was one of the major reasons to upgrade v10 to v11 for a lot of people)
