aws tape gateway

Hi,

We have BE 20.2 with a Tape library that has 16 slots. Now we want to run a test with aws VTL gateway. We have setup the gateway and run a test on a test machine and it is working fine.

Now we would like to move from test machine to production machine that has already a physical tape library.

Can we run the aws vtl gateway and physical tape library on the same machine?

Yes.  Backup Exec supports multiple tape libraries, physical or virtual, on the same server.  Just follow the advice in the footnotes on the BE HCL and you should be fine.

Thank you for your reply,

I have added the virtual library through the iscsi initiator on the server that has already a physical library, I have to restart the BE services before the virtual library can get detected. I will do that tonight and keep you posted.
