backup exec 10.1 problem with mailboxes

hello

i am trying to backup my mailboxes , when i am trying to chose the mailbox i am getting the mesaage " user name and password are incorect"

i try to work acording to the manual to create backup exec acount ( the same as admin) then go esm and delagte full admni permision but i am still getting the problem , why ? what should i do :?

Hi Golan,

In this case,i would suggest you to go once again through following steps and check if anything is missing.

1.Create a new user with unique (first five letters should be unique) mailbox.
2.Assign it administrator and domain admin rights.
3.Assign it exchange full admin rights from system manager.
4.Assign local admin rights on exchange serve.
5.Send email to this a/c , check if received.
6.In Backup Exec, Goto menu Network->logon accounts and create a logon account for above.
7.Right click on mailbox and select connect as ,type above name and password. See the result.
Do revert back with details.

but i already tried all of that , and still i cant log in with the user name and password .

what else ?

Is the mailbox hidden in the Global Address list..if so it cant..it must be visible

Tired of non-helpful tech support? I have yet to gain any helpful/useful information from the Symantec/Veritas techs. They want to move as many topics to the "answered" section as possible. The "two-day, automatically assumed answered" policy is absurd, in my opinion.

For these reasons, I have started a new backup exec group at google.

Hi,

Is this mailbox activated ?

Are you getting this error while slecting mailbox store or in the job log for some mailboxes ?

Update us on the same and revert for any further Query

yes when i am trying to access to the mailbox .

i am getting that message .and i cant see the mailboxes .
