This wil probably need a formal support case, however some questions
- are you using an Internet Proxy Server between your internal servers and the internet?
- which browser is set as default on your Backup Exec server?

As further information on this query, some environments will see a crash condition relating to UAC which is sometimes initially seen as a hang before the crash error actually appears. Environments that experience this condition, can avoid it by starting the Backup Exec Admin Console using Run as Admin before launching Veritas Update.
