Hi

Is this the fresh install or upgrade from earlier version

Also just to confirm I presume you have added this

HKLM|Software|Symantec|Backup Exec for Windows Server|Backup Exec/Server

System ,Administrator ,Administrators & the account by which you are doing installation are having full Control. To verify or to add this right click on server key & click on Permission

Thanks

If you have verified sufficient permissions, try the following -

Create a DWORD AdammLocal at HKLM|Software|Symantec|Backup Exec for Windows Server|Backup Exec|Server  and set it to 0 (zero)

Hi Kaystar,

What are the permissions on that key? Typically they are Administrator, System and Backup Operator at a minimum. Typically the permissions are inherited from the "HKLM\Software\Symantec" key. What are the permissions on that key? Do you have any other Symantec products installed on this server? Maybe Backup Exec System Recovery as well?

Thanks
Nick
