Ok so i have backup exec 2012 and one media server. I bought a Drobo B800i that i want to connect via an iSCSI connection using only a single server as a host. I was tryign to determein which is better for speed of backups. Connect it to my file server via iscsi or via my BAckup Exec 2012 MEdia Server. In other words when a backup happens how does Backup exec pull it? Does it pull the data across the netowkr through the media server or if it is an external file server running a to disk does it move it from the server beign backed up to the locaiton of the disk backup without reroting the data through the media center?
